Terms & Conditions
Effective as of April 23, 2026
These terms and conditions apply to the Dasti app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Dasti (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a free service.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. As such, they reserve the right to modify the Application or charge for their services at any time and for any reason. The Service Provider assures you that any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.
The Application stores and processes personal data that you have provided to the Service Provider in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which involves removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. Such actions could expose your phone to malware, viruses, malicious programs, compromise your phone's security features, and may result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all.
Third-Party Services
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. Below are the links to the Terms and Conditions of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
- Google Play Services
- Cloud database and authentication service providers
- App development, build, and update distribution platforms
- Crash reporting and error tracking service providers
Service Limitations
Please be aware that the Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects. Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of access to Wi-Fi or if you have exhausted your data allowance.
If you are using the application outside of a Wi-Fi area, please be aware that your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply. Consequently, you may incur charges from your mobile provider for data usage during the connection to the application, or other third-party charges. By using the application, you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the application outside of your home territory (i.e., region or country) without disabling data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using the application, they assume that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.
Similarly, the Service Provider cannot always assume responsibility for your usage of the application. For instance, it is your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.
In terms of the Service Provider's responsibility for your use of the application, it is important to note that while they strive to ensure that it is updated and accurate at all times, they do rely on third parties to provide information to them so that they can make it available to you. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on this functionality of the application.
User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the Application, including but not limited to pottery photos, 360° spins, firing logs, glaze recipes, studio notes, display name, bio, and any other content associated with your profile or pieces ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant the Service Provider a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Application's services to you and, for content you explicitly choose to share to the community feed, to other users of the Application.
Sharing to the community is opt-in per piece: a piece only appears in the community feed or on your public profile after you finish it, mark it public, and tap "Share to Feed." You can unshare any piece at any time.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content, that it complies with these Terms, and that it does not violate any third party's rights.
Community Standards
Dasti has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. By using the Application, you agree that you will not post, share, display, distribute, or otherwise transmit User Content or engage in conduct that:
- is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;
- depicts nudity, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, gore, or self-harm;
- infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other intellectual property right of any party, or is posted without permission;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with a person, potter, studio, or brand;
- is off-topic for a pottery and ceramics community, including but not limited to unrelated promotion of products, services, or external platforms;
- constitutes spam, chain messages, pyramid schemes, scams, or misleading promotional content;
- harasses, bullies, intimidates, or targets any other user;
- contains software viruses, malicious code, or any other means intended to disrupt or damage the Application or other users' experience; or
- solicits personal or financial information from other users.
The Service Provider reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, refuse to display, remove, or require you to remove any User Content that it determines, in good faith, violates these Community Standards, these Terms, or any applicable law. The Service Provider may also suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate the account of any user who repeatedly or egregiously violates these Community Standards, without prior notice and without refund.
Reporting Objectionable Content and Blocking Users
If you encounter User Content that you believe violates these Community Standards, please use the in-app "Report" action available on every shared piece. Reports are confidential — neither the reported user nor any other party is informed of your identity as the reporter.
You can also block any user from the Application. Blocking immediately hides that user's pieces and profile from your community feed and their profile page. You can review and remove blocks at any time from the Settings screen.
The Service Provider acts on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours of receipt, either by removing the content, restricting or removing the offending account, or taking other corrective action, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation. Content that has been reported and found to violate these Terms will not be reinstated.
Disclaimer
The Application is provided for informational and organizational purposes only.
The firing schedules, glaze information, and material data provided through the Application are not intended to replace professional advice or manufacturer specifications. Always follow your kiln manufacturer's guidelines and exercise appropriate safety precautions when working with ceramics materials and equipment.
The Service Provider makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any content provided through the Application. You acknowledge that any reliance on such information is at your own risk.
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may wish to update the application at some point. The application is currently available as per the requirements for the operating system (and for any additional systems they decide to extend the availability of the application to) may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that it will always update the application so that it is relevant to you and/or compatible with the particular operating system version installed on your device. However, you agree to always accept updates to the application when offered to you. The Service Provider may also wish to cease providing the application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. Unless they inform you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must cease using the application, and (if necessary) delete it from your device.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Service Provider, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Application; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Application; (c) any content obtained from the Application; or (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in California, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update their Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
